Learn and Play Montessori School Celebrates Brand New School in San Carlos: Ribbon-cutting and Opening Celebration featured local leaders and family fun

San Carlos, CA – April 30, 2025- To support a growing number of families seeking high-quality child care and early years education for their young children, Learn and Play Montessori has opened a brand-new school at 510 Laurel St. San Carlos, CA. Part of Busy Bees – one of the world’s largest providers of early years education and care – Learn and Play Montessori San Carlos serves children in preschool to kindergarten with nurturing early learning programs designed to give every child the best start in life.

The school, which officially opened its doors in January, hosted a Ribbon-cutting and Opening Celebration on Wednesday, April 23, at 11:00 am. The event featured brief remarks from:

  • President of the Chamber of Commerce, San Mateo County
  • Busy Bees North America Director of Operations, Debra White
  • A check presentation to 4C’s non-profit, an integral part of San Mateo County providing and empowering families with quality childcare and preschool programs.
  • Young students and families participating in the celebration

Earth Day is celebrated annually on April 22nd to bring awareness to environmental issues while encouraging people to take action to protect the planet. Protecting, caring for, and respecting our planet is of the utmost importance. At LAPMS, teaching our students a love for our planet is something that we practice year-round. Many of our students have experienced gardening, lessons on recycling, and actively learn about geography, botany, and zoology during cultural studies. Although Earth Day is every day, we love participating in this holiday and showing some extra love to our beautiful planet.
